SilverFast Ai Studio includes all of the well-known functions of SilverFast Ai plus many new, innovative tools. These new functions of SilverFast Ai Studio offer an even higher degree of efficiency for image optimization. Multi-sampling now includes auto-alignment, enabling this feature even on scanners without hardware-based support.

AACO allows the user to extract maximum detail from shadow areas, without compromising highlights. This has become an an invaluable tool, especially when working with scanners offering limited dynamic range. These two tools combined can increase the usable dynamic range of almost any scanner on the market today.

What's New in SilverFast Ai Studio 8.8:

Optimum Addition to iSRD and SRDx
An addition to the existing set of dust, scratch and defect removal tools, the SilverFast Clone-Tool is a powerful tool for the removal of severe defects. SilverFast HDR Studio 8 now features three differently focused tools for the correction of a wide variety of issues, making post-processing in other software unnecessary.

Dust and scratch removal tools, such as iSRD and SRDx, quickly reach their limit in cases of serious defects, such as wide scratches, finger-prints or large-area damage. These tools are able to detect large defects, but are unfit to correct them. With the Clone-Tool, however, you are now able to easily repair defects by stamping data from similar, undamaged areas onto the damaged areas.

The Clone-Tool complements the iSRD (infrared-based) and SRDx (software-based) workflow in the efficient removal of dust, scratches and defects. In addition to the core functionality of correcting defects, it is also possible to use the Clone-Tool to completely change entire image areas by adding or removing details.

The Clone-Tool is ideally suited for .
. removing deep scratches.
. correcting large-area image defects.
. removing or duplicating image details.

Undo Functionality in the Expert Mode
Expert mode provides the ability to undo individual clone operations. An entry is added to the clone protocol for every clone operation. Click on individual entries to reverse the appropriate steps.

Dust and Scratch Removal of a new Generation
Photos, slides and negatives are naturally afflicted with image defects. Even if photos and slides are handled very carefully, it's virtually impossible to avoid contact with dust particles; small scratches are also not uncommon. Greater defects on treasured images can be especially annoying, because they often hide important details or even destroy the overall image. These flaws do not often get recognized until scanning, because scanning means also increasing image size in most cases. SRDx is the most efficient solution for the elimination of all these flaws.

- Photo prints
- Digital camera images

Special Tools in Expert Mode
The expert mode (only in Ai Studio, HDR Studio and the Archive Suite) offers additional functionality, which helps to mark the defects to be corrected. With the Marker Tool, the correction intensity of individual image details can be selectively decreased or increased. The Eraser Tool is used to specify image areas, where no correction should be applied at all.

Application to mirror the screen of your Mac to any Philips Smart TV. No wires and no additional hardware needed!

This works on any Philips Smart TV from the 2012 models onward.

In using the app, there will be about a second of latency. So this mirroring is not suitable for gaming.

However, it is very suitable for watching movies, giving presentations, watching photos, and much more!

The quality of your experience will be dependent on the quality of your local network. Some tips to enhance the experience:

- Preferably, connect your TV by LAN cable to your router.
- Use an "ac" router. If you don't have one, then an "n" router.
- Try not to overload your wifi network by moving big files around while you are mirroring.

How the app works:
First, make sure that your Samsung TV is on the same local network and same subnet as your Mac. The TV should not be in screen mirroring mode, but just on "TV" Mode or any HDMI IN port.

After launching the app, you will see the app icon appearing in the top bar of your Mac and the app will look for your TV on the network. It will show your TV when it has found it. Now, you have two options:

Mirror your Mac Screen:
Use this option to put the screen of your Mac on TV. In source, you can select which screen (or attached monitor) you want to display on TV. If you are running multiple applications on your Mac, you can also select which application window you want to see on TV.

Play Video File:
Use this option if you have a video file on your Mac and you want to play just the file on TV. Drop it in the box and it will play on TV.

What's New in Version 2.1
Version 2.1 adds support for video files with AC3 audio, fixes some issues, and provides an improved audio driver.
